Hi there, I’m Lauren—a functional nutritionist (CNS®), clinician (LCSW), & science and psychology writer & educator. My work brings together perspectives from psychology, nutrition, clinical practice, & functional & integrative health.

I explore the relationships between biological & psychological health through research-informed writing, education, & consulting. I develop resources & collaborate with practitioners, researchers, organizations, & individuals to make complex health concepts more accessible, meaningful, & clinically relevant.

Mental & physical health are deeply interconnected. Genetics, biochemical individuality, early life experiences, attachment, trauma, nutrition, sleep, stress, relationships, & environmental influences all contribute to the complex processes that shape how we feel & function.

I’m particularly interested in how these influences interact through interconnected physiological processes, including nervous system regulation, gut-brain signaling, immune activity, hormonal signaling, circadian biology, & metabolism.

Understanding these connections—& recognizing the factors we can influence—can help us make more informed choices to support health & well-being.

Through scientific writing and research translation, professional education, & consulting, I bridge emerging research with clinical understanding & practical application.

Please note that my work is intended for educational purposes and is not a substitute for medical advice or mental health treatment.
